Delete your data
Rufus: Daily Stoic Practice — published by Rich-Jenn LLC
You can delete everything Rufus holds about you at any time, without asking anyone. Almost all of it never leaves your phone in the first place.
Option 1 — delete it yourself, from the app
- Open Rufus.
- Tap Profile at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll to Your data.
- Tap Delete everything.
- Tap it a second time to confirm — the button turns red and reads Tap again to erase everything. This second tap is the point of no return.
This is immediate and permanent. Your name, your answers, your streak, your saved cards and your settings are erased from the device. There is no copy on our side to remove, because there was never one.
Option 2 — uninstall the app
Uninstalling Rufus removes the same data, for the same reason: it was stored only on your device.
Option 3 — write to us
If you gave us an email address for the daily card, or you simply want it handled for you, email rufusTheStoicteacher@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my data.
We reply within 30 days, and normally much sooner.

What is kept, and why
Your purchase record. If you subscribed, Google Play holds the record of that transaction. We cannot delete it and neither can you — tax and consumer-protection law requires a seller to keep proof of a sale, and Play is the seller of record. It contains no reflections, answers or personal notes: only that a subscription was bought, when, and for how much.
To cancel a subscription, use Google Play subscriptions. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not delete the purchase history, and deleting your Rufus data does not cancel a subscription. They are separate actions.
Retention
Data on your device is kept until you delete it or uninstall the app — we set no expiry, because we cannot see it. Email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them, and are deleted within 30 days of that. Purchase records are retained by Google Play for as long as the law requires.
